How we build

A few rules we don't bend.

Every KIMLABS product, whatever the platform, is built on the same foundations.

    Rust at the core

    The hard parts (networking, pipelines, search, licensing) live in Rust: fast, memory-safe and portable across every platform we ship on.

  • 02

    Native where it matters

    We pick the right UI for each platform, from SwiftUI on the Mac to the web, and keep a shared core underneath.

  • 03

    Event-driven, not polling

    Our software reacts to the system instead of asking it every second. That keeps CPU, battery and bandwidth for you.

  • 04

    We own the stack

    Apps, servers, licensing and the network they run on. Owning it end to end means we can fix it end to end.

    Private by default

    Collect only what a feature needs. Keep data on-device where we can and explain it plainly where we can't.

    Small and fast

    Tiny downloads, low memory and instant start-up. Performance is a feature, so we treat it like one.
